Hello My Friend/Guest, "O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD." (Psalm 117) It is Monday December 31, 2007 and today we are completing our studies on the book of Revelations. Please read, Revelation 19-22. In today's reading we will learn about the marriage supper of the Lamb; a rider on the white horse; satan bound and doomed; the great white throne judgment, the new heaven and the new earth; the heavenly Jerusalem; and Christ's coming. John continues, "I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True and in righteousness He doth judge and make war" (Revelation 19:11). "And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." (19:19-20). These verses are in reference to the Lord Jesus Christ and the Antichrist. Jesus will be at war with all the false prophets who lied to the people that followed them. "And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." (20:9-12). This is the final destination of Satan and all who reject Christ as thier Savior and Lord. God will not push His way into anyone's life, it is His gift of free will that allows us to choose to believe in Him or not, but Jesus did say that the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. Nearly two thousand years ago God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16). To believe in Him is much more than mentally believing the historical fact that Jesus died on the cross to save sinners. To believe means that I trust my eternal destiny to Him as Savior and Lord of my life. "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life." (Revelation 21:27). This does not mean that by trusting in Jesus that you will never be allowed not to sin again nor will you get thrown out of the book of life when you do. This means that your life will change and become more about God and others than about yourself. It is in our nature to sin, no one is without sin, but we can be forgiven for those sins, each and every time we repent. Repentance is a redemptive experience which leads to forgiveness. Now, I know this seems a little overwhelming and scary, but here is the bright side to this Revelation. God transferred your sins to Christ, and on the cross Jesus Christ died for you. The Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all (See Isaiah 53:6); but salvation can only come by faith alone. We can say that we are saved, but only our faith in the Lord can save us. The Lord has given us hope about what lies beyond the grave. We look forward to the day when all true followers of Christ will dwell in a new heaven and a new earth. Oh! the joy that awaits us in its full realization. Praise the Lord! We soon will be welcomed home by our wonderful Lord! We close this glorious revelation of Jesus Christ, having completed the reading of the entire God-given Guide to Life: "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely." (Revelation 22:17). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Lord, as the New Year quickly approaches help me to put my faults away. Let me be big in little things and grant me the joy which friendship brings. Keep me from selfishness and spite, and let me be wise in what is right. When this New Year in time shall end let it be said that I've played the friend, that I have lived and loved and labored here, and made of it a happy year. Let me a blessing to those in need and bless me with the strength, wisdom, and grace to lead others toward you in this coming year. In Jesus' name, I pray.....Amen. It has been a pleasure for me to write these studies and provide them to you. Here is to a great 2008! I look forward to seeing you in the coming you as we begin once again from the book of Genisis. May God bless you abuntantly in the coming year and may all your prayers be answered. God Bless, Christina

Hello My Friend/Guest,
"He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people. He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD." (Psalm 113:7-9) It is December 30, 2007 and today we are continuing our studies on the book of Revelations. Please read, Revelation 17 -- 18. In Today's Reading we will learn of the mother of abominations; and the doom and fall of Babylon is predicted. The Apostle John reported that he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness: " So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." (Revelation 17:3-5). Old Testament Babylon was the most magnificent capital city of the ancient world, and its king, Nebuchadnezzar, controlled the then-known world. During his conquests, he destroyed the kingdom of Judah, as well as the Temple of God and the holy city of Jerusalem. Babylon the great, the mother of harlots illustrates the God-defying forces in politics and religion that are beginning to control the world. This apostate federation of churches and world religions will give full support to the one-world political and economic system called the scarlet coloured beast, which will be ruled by the Antichrist. The mother of Harlots and the beast represent the close alliance that exists between the world government, called the beast, and the harlot, Babylon, which pretends to be the true Church. This false Church will demand the "equality of all religions." Eventually, together they will fiercely oppose Jesus Christ as the only way to obtain eternal life. The message of this superchurch will be based on social issues, humanitarian objectives, and lifeless formalism, and it will appeal to the majority of people (See II Timothy 4:3-4). The forces of the world shall make war with Jesus and Jesus shall overcome them: "These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful." (Revelation 17:14). Have a wonderful day/night and Happy New Year. | Jesus Said: Come Out of The Darkness |
| 12.30.07 (8:38 am) [edit] |
|
Come Out of The Darkness (12.30.07) "Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness." (John 12:42-46) Many people are living in darkness, even those who believe in Christ. They are more focused on the world and others than on God. When we live for the world rather than God we become depressed, lost, alone, and empty inside. No matter how many people or things are in our lives we are always searching and longing for something that will shed some light on us and bring us out of that darkness. Here Jesus is explaining to His disciples how important it is to confess Him and live for God and not the world. He tells us that when we live for the world we do not believe in God and cause ourselves to live in darkness. When we live for the world we are more focused on our needs than others, we do not repect others or ourselves, we trust no one, we are not at peace, and we can not forgive those who have hurt us, especially ourselves. No matter what we do we can not break free form the mistakes we made in the past. We dig ourselves into a tunnel of darkness and can not escape. I can account for all of these things because I have been a witness to them. As a child I grew up knowing who Jesus was, but never really understood what that meant. Then as a teenager I began working for a youth pastor and learned how important it was to know Him. Of course I faced opposition especially from my family and instead of putting my focus on God I hid from Him. I quickly fell for the temptations that the world offered. It became like a drug to me, I would desire people and things to make me feel good about myself and forget my problems. Once I got what I wanted I was on high for a little while then quickly dug myself further into that tunnel, leaving myself dark and depressed. I was always searching for something stronger and better to make me feel that good again, often doing the unimaginable to get what I wanted. All I was doing was digging myself deeper into darkness. Then when I was at my weakest moment God spoke to me and dragged me up out of that tunnel and for the first time in years I saw the light. I began living for God and not the world and even though I still had problems I kept my focus on Him and crawled out of the tunnel. Oh, sure I still have bad days, satan will stop at nothing to get me back to where I was, but I am stronger knowing that the Lord is with me and people see Him through me and my words as well. Jesus brought me up into the light and He can do the same for you. He is telling you to trust Him, and believe in Him. Are you ready to come up out of the darkness? Hello My Friend/Guest, "For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth; That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me." (Psalm 108:4-6) It is Friday December 28, 2007 and today we are continuing our studies on the book of Revelations. Please read, Revelation 12 -- 13 In Today's Reading we will learn about the sun-clad woman; the dragon; a Man-Child; the blood of the Lamb; and the beasts. The following verses are in refrence to the birth and ascension of Jesus Christ. "And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne." (Revelation 12:1-5). The trial of the remnant of God occurs in the wilderness to illustrate the desert-like moral condition of this world ruled by the great red dragon (Satan). "And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days." (12:6). There is a precious peace in this desert that comes by leaving the results in the hands of our Creator. The great dragon called the devil, and satan, deceives the whole world and is always in opposition to the faithful people of God. However our Salvation will strengthen us and save us from the devil's clutches. "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." (12:9-1 0). Satan is given four designations here: the dragon portrays his monstrous character as the enemy of God and His servants; the serpent points out the deceptive character he demonstrated in the Garden of Eden; the Devil reminds us that he is a slanderer and a liar; and Satan means adversary. Your adversary, the Devil walks about seeking all whom he can devour. (See I Peter 5:8). But praise God that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. A Christian is able to have peace even in difficult situations because peace comes from the Holy Spirit within. It is not that danger is welcomed, but if I am where I know I should be, I can truthfully say: "I feel blessed and privileged to be here." The time and the pathway may be tragic in every sense of the word and yet the reality of blessedness still holds true. It can be said that Christians in every generation overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony as His Word has become a way of life. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (Revelation 12:11-12). No matter what we face we are blessed knowing that Jesus will get us through any situation that the devil faces us with. Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for this wonderful day, however challenging or not, for I know that the more challenging it is the closer I am to you. We love you so much. Thank you for your hand in our lives. We want to be so faithful and obedient, Jesus. Forgive us for being willful in the past. Continue to mold our hearts into your heart's image. Holy Spirit, help us to control our thought life. When we're faced with difficult people, let us respond in loving kindness, not by pushing back with our flesh. We love you, Lord. Let even our enemies see you when they look at us. In Jesus' name, we pray.....Amen. Have a wonderful day/night and weekend. Happy New Year! Hello My Friend/Guest, "O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD." (Psalm 105:1-3) It is Wednesday December 26, 2007 and today we are continuing our studies on the book of Revelations. Please read, Revelation 6 -- 8 In Today's Reading we will learn about the seven seals; 144,000 sealed; the numberless multitude; and four trumpets sounded. The exile of John on Patmos and the suffering taking place in Smyrna are examples of the persecution that was intensifying against Christians throughout the Roman Empire then and is in much of the world today. "And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." (Revelation 2:8-10) However, such persecution resulted in one of the greatest promises of the Bible: "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb." (7:9-10). In heaven multitudes of overcomers stand in the presence of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through the centuries, this revelation has strengthened the faith of many Christians who have faced fierce opposition from a hostile world. Each generation of believers which has had its heart set upon living for Jesus was always a minority. As Jesus proclaimed: "Narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it" (Matthew 7:14). Still, however, one day the population of heaven will include a great multitude, which no man could number. Faithful Christians may not have much of earth's pleasures, but earthly life is exceedingly short compared to eternity. The trials we face now will seem insignificant compared to the glorious privilege of being in the presence of the King of kings for all eternity. "Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (I Corinthians 15:57). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Jesus, thank You that You loved us so much that, though we were born into sin, You died for us so that we might be lifted from our sin and reconciled to the Father. In addition to receiving forgiveness and reconciliation we also become joint heirs taking on our new identity as “children of God.” What an incredible honor and selfless act of love that You would place us in the family of believers with the King of kings and Lord of lords as our Father. This is the wonder of Your great love, indeed! In Jesus name, we pray.....Amen. Have a wonderful day/night and God Bless you. | Jesus Said: Be Wise |
| 12.26.07 (8:25 am) [edit] |
|
12.26.07 "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you." (Matthew 10:16-20) It is no surprise that when a person accepts Jesus into their lives that they will face opposition in some way, shape, or form, in fact the closer we get to Him the worse things seem to get. Have you ever noticed the expressions or reactions of the wolves who try to tear us apart? In reality, they know we speak the truth and see Jesus' reflection in us. They live in denial, fear, and are miserable and lost so the only way they know how to act is the way they feel. In the above verses Jesus tells us that we are to be wise and harmless, yet cautious toward those who punish us. Yes, they will try to bring us down to their level of hate, bitterness, and strife towards one another, but no matter what oppostion we face we have a great and mighty God that can get us through it. One that will help us endure all the pain and suffering from those who are lost. The greatest thing of all is that He is with you through it all, God will comfort you and even tell you what needs to be said and done. Have no fear for He is near. I will tell you that when I accepted Jesus into my life I faced this same opposition, I had people criticizing me and gossiping about me, even my own father believed the rumors. I was losing everything I owned, not to mention the people in my life. I just wanted to crawl in a hole and hide from life all together. Then God pulled me up out of that ditch and said "Wake Up! This is not who I made you to be!" At that moment He led me to the book of Job and the second I began reading I knew that God was speaking to me and that He was real. Everything that I was going through related to what I was reading. I read that entire book and asked God to forgive me and them and vowed that I would not be controlled by those who hurt me. Of course some days are not easy, I still face lots of opposition, but I tell you what knowing that Jesus is always with me gives me the peace and comfort I need to endure anything that comes my way. I am blessed because I have the power and grace of our Lord leading me to great things. And yes, Jesus will do the same for you as well, all you have to do is hand all your struggles over to Him. I also reccommend that you to read Job, it will help you understand and teach you how to endure those who oppose you. Hello My Friend/Guest, "Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily." (Psalm 102:1-2) It is Tuesday December 25, 2007 and today we are comtinuing our studies on the book of Revelations. Please read, Revelation 3 -- 5 In Today's Reading we will learn about our Lord's messages to the churches at Sardis and Philadelphia; the disapproval of the church at Laodicea; and the sealed book. The church in Sardis could boast that there were no false doctrines being taught, but there was an equally serious sin that was being commited. It is not enough to teach the doctrine, one must follow what one teaches. A person that does not know better is not expected to know what works are made perfect before God's eyes, but a person that knows and teaches it to others yet does follow it sins just as a person who teaches falsely does. "And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." (Revelation 3:1-3). "Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels." (3:4-5). During His earthly ministry, Jesus had also said: If you obey from the heart My Commandments, you shall dwell in My love. "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love." (John 15:10). Jesus commended the church in Philadelphia for their faithfulness, saying, "I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." (Revelation 3:8-10). The majority of church members in Laodicea probably congratulated themselves on being moderate and broad-minded. They probably pitied the narrow-minded Christians in other churches. The Laodicean believers prided themselves on their ability to compromise. But Jesus severely condemned this church: "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent." (3:16-1 9). However, Jesus, the Lord of His Church, is still knocking on doors of men's hearts with the same words of encouragement: "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." (Revelation 3:20-21). Anyone that accepts Jesus as their Saviour is going to face opposition. In fact whether you live for Jesus or the world you are still going to face opposition of some form or another, however those who choose Jesus have something to look forward to and no matter what they are going through they will be at peace and overcome anything thrown at hem. On the other hand those who live in the world who face opposition do not know what to do when they are faced with those challenges, often resulting in depression and dependacy on things which are only temporary hide aways. May God bless all who have fallen into that trap. Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, We just want to praise your name today, and of course every day, but today we just want to bask in the joy of knowing that we can glorify you just by living according to your will. You are too gracious and merciful. You make life worth living. You love us even when we're at our ugliest. Thank you for being the one true, omnipotent God and loving US anyway. Thank you for choosing us. We love you, and want to worship and praise you always. In Jesus name, we pray.....Amen. Have a wonderful day/night and Merry Christmas to you. Hello My Friend/Guest, "The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God." (Psalm 98:2-3) It is Monday December 24, 2007 and today we begin our studies on the book of Revelations. Please read Revelation 1 -- 2 In Today's Reading we will learn about greetings to the seven churches; a vision of the Son of Man and His messages to the churches. The book of Revelations was written by John to the Seven churches in Asia and believers in general. His purpose of this book of prophesy is to reveal God's plan for the world. In the end, good is always victorious over evil. God always accomplishes His established plan and purpose. The seven churches of Asia Minor each received a letter dictated by Christ and recorded by John while he was on the island of Patmos. Since the character and conduct of churches and Christians is similar in every generation, the messages are just as vital and valid for us today. "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." (Revelation 1:1-6) Words of praise were given to the church at Ephesus for its sound doctrine. "Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love." (Revelation 2:1-4). Losing devotion to Christ usually happens gradually. Some Christians become so involved in business, leisure activities, or even church responsibilities that the worship of Christ becomes mechanical and a mere formality, they lose sight of Him even though they are active in the church. Jesus warns His people to remember what He has done for us and if we lose sight of that to repent, he also warns us to repent if we have fallen from putting Him first. "Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." (2:5). The letter sent to the church at Smyrna acknowledged that they were suffering tribulatio n and poverty. This church appeared destitute of the comforts of life. Some would be cast into prison, others would suffer persecution. But, because of their loyal devotion, the Lord promised none shall be hurt by a second death. "I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death." (2:9-11). The second death refers to your spirit, we are all made up of a body and a spirit. When the body experiences death, this is the physical and first death. Once the spirit leaves the body it either goes to live eternally in heaven or in an eternal lake of fire. If it goes into the lake of fire, it also experiences death, this is the second death. The letter sent to the church at Pergamos reminded them that they lived where Satan's seat is, but remain true to Jesus for all who overcome shall be saved. "I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate. Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it." (2:13-17). Jesus explains to His disciples those who live for the world what happens when they leave it. "And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence." (Luke 16:22-26) Today's Prayer: (Psalm 86) "Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me." In Jesus' name, I pray.....Amen Have a wonderful Christmas Eve, may God bless you with many unexpected blessings. Hello My Friend/Guest, It is Sunday December 23, 2007 and today we are studying the books of II John through Jude. Please read, II John 1, III John 2, and Jude. In Today's Reading we are learning about the commandment to love; a warning against deceivers; Diotrephes rebuked; and judgment on false teachers.
The book of II John was written by John to the "elect lady and her children," which means the Church and its members. The Church is always addressed in the feminine gender because she is called the bride of Christ. His purpose for the letter was to caution believers to be faithful to sound doctrine and to warn against false teachers. "The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love." (II John 1:1-3).
The book of III John was written by John, the book is addressed to a man named Gaius. It is written to both him and the church with which he was connected. There is no way to identify who this man was, as the Bible gives no further information on him. The truths of the letter are applicable to all believers. His purpose for writting this letter was to commend Gaius and Demetrius for their Christian testimony and to reprove the unchristian behavior of Diotrephes. "The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth." (III John 1:1-3) "I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church." (III John 1:9-10) The book of Jude was written by Jude, the brother of Jesus, to All Christians, although the specific audience at the time were members of churches in Palestine and/or Asia. His purpose for the letter was to warn against false teachers. "Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ." (Jude 1:1-4) To earnestly contend for the faith implies not only the necessity of believing that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God but that it alone is the final Word on all doctrine (See II Timothy 3:16). Today there is a superficial and deceptive unity being promoted by some who have joined hands with religions that reject Jesus of Nazareth as The Only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Jude warns that such deceivers will be judged, and eill suffer the vegeance of living in an eternal fire. "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core." (1:7-11). Having been enlightened by God's Word to recognize false doctrine, we can add a resounding "Praise the Lord" to Jude's statement. Other religions deny either the total deity or the total humanity of Jesus. Some assume there is only One God but that He is called by various names. They ignorantly conclude that as long as you are sincere, it doesn't matter what you believe. But Jesus said: "I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me" (John 14:6). And Peter proclaimed: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12). "Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." (Jude 1:21-25). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Most Loving Father, thank you for this night and for all it represents. Thank you for the hope you bestow, the peace you bring, the love you pour out, and the joy you give. We praise you most of all for Jesus, your Word made flesh. May he light our way as the holy star lit the way for the wise men. In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen. Hello My Friend/Guest, "Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children. And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it." (Psalm 90:15-17 KJV) It is Saturday December 22, 2007 and today we are completing our studies on the book of I John. Please read, I John 4 -- 5. In Today's Reading we will learn about how to test the spirits; an appeal for brotherly love; and the witness of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit directed the Apostle John to write: "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." (I John 4:1-3). Doctrinal deception is widespread and often difficult to discern. Jesus warns us that "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 7:21). He also warns us to pay attention to those who claim to know be and know Hi, for they are deceivers. "Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them." (Luke 21:8). Jesus also warns us that many who believe they are the children of the Kingdom shall be cast into the darkness. "When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 8:10-12). The consequence of deception is horrifying. Just think! The majority of "religious" people will be cast into outer darkness. Nothing could be of more importance than to remove all uncertainty that we are included with the few there that find eternal life. Since it determines our destiny for eternity, we are told to examine for ourselves whether we believe in the faith of our Lord Jesus. (See II Corinthians 13). John tells us, "Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth." (I John 5:1-6). Being born of God is far more than just becoming a member of a church or believing certain doctrinal facts about Jesus Christ. It affects the whole life, the heart as well as the head. It molds your character and guides your conduct. If we have genuinely put our faith in Jesus as the Son of God we will have a desire to be obedient to His Commandments. "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." (Luke 9:23). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day here on earth and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day. Lord, try me, and search the ground of my heart, prove me and examine my thoughts. Look well into my soul and if there be any wickedness in me or any root of bitterness yet undiscovered, forgive me, cleanse me and lead me to everlasting life. Walk with me, guide me, and be with me in all that I do. I truly believe that Jesus is Your Son and that He died to save me from eternal darkenss and death. Give me peace and knowing that I will spend eternity with You. In Jesus name, I pray......Amen. Have a wonderful day/night and weekend, Season's Greetings to you and your family. Hello My Friend/Guest,
"O lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee: Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry; For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave." (Psalm 88:1-3 KJV) It is Friday December 21, 2007 and today we are beginning our studies the book of I John. Please read, I John 1 -- 3 In Today's Reading we will learn about fellowship with God; the reality of and remedy for sin; the danger of antichrists; the children of God and righteousness and loving one another.
The book of I John was written by John to the Christians who were falling into Satanic deception which was breaking their fellowship with God and other believers. His purpose for this letter was to explain the standards of true fellowship in Jesus Christ. We also learn that true fellowship with God and fellow believers is based on the standards of God's Word and maintained by the principle of confession of sin. "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. " (I John 1:1-4) Our Heavenly Father has provided us with the incomparable Role Model of all history, Jesus Christ. Let us commit ourselves to following His example, even as John wrote, "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."(I John 1:5-10). There are some who say they have a relationship with Christ but still walk in darkness. God directed John to write that they lie. The darkness of the natural mind is always more concerned about one's self, one's well-being, and one's successes. But, the spiritually minded who walk in the light, as He is in the light, are first and foremost concerned that Christ be exalted in their thoughts, conduct, and conversation with others. A characteristic of darkness is a desire to be noticed. Such people receive a feeling of supremacy by drawing attention to themselves and seeking to dominate conversations. With others, darkness appears in the form of impatience, a sensitive spirit that is easily offended, a disposition to resent and retaliate when contradicted, or in impulses to criticize. A jealous disposition, a secret spirit of envy, or a tendency to speak of the faults and failings of others rather than of their virtues are also characteristics of darkness. Some walk in darkness with a spirit of discouragement and self-pity and a determination to convey that spirit to everyone who will listen. Let us be like King David who prayed: "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." (Psalm 139:23-24). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Lord Jesus, often the daily grind is not appealing as I awaken each morning to the tasks before me. Sometimes the routine seems endless and at times pointless. I find myself lacking fulfillment in this aspect of my life and yet it requires the majority of my time and focus. Jesus, please help me to find the hidden strength that only comes from seeking You to deal with the negative attitudes that tempt me daily. Help me also to look beyond the immediate to the deeper meaning of each day's task. Above all, help me to keep my eyes on spiritual truths as I meditate upon Your Word and apply its meaning to my life each new day. It is in this faithful practice of placing You at the center of my focus that I can rise above the difficulties that come my way. May You restore to me, this day, the joy of Your salvation and renew a steadfast spirit within me. In Jesus' Name, I pray....Amen. Hello My Friend/Guest, "For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee." (Psalm 84:11-12) It is Thursday December 20, 2007 and today we are studying the book of II Peter. Please read, II Peter 1 -- 3. In Today's Reading we will learn about God's many forms of grace; false teachers; and the certainty of Christ's return.
The book (letter) of II Peter was written by Peter to the Christian exiles, probably the same group listed in I Peter. His purpose was to warn them of the danger from within the church, such as apostacy (rejecting belief) and false teaching.
This second letter begins with one significant thought: God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue (goodness). Peter's key thought is that a life of godliness is made possible by the exceeding great and precious promises from God. That we may be partakers of the devine nature and escape the desires of the world. "Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. " (II Peter 1:1-4). It is of utmost importance that we recognize we are the Body of Christ, and as you grow with Him a new life begins. "And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." (II Peter 1:5-11). When you accept Jesus into your life whether you realize it or not, you begin to change. It starts by you giving time to God, then your faith strengthens, you become wiser, you learn to resist temptation, you become more patient, the list goes on and on. Life just gets better and better as the big world out there becomes smaller and less desirable. Those struggles that you go through no longer wear you down, but strengthen you.
God has given us the freedom to choose to let "affliction" work for us or against us, this is the great gift of free will. Whether we choose to belive in Him or not is our choice, but rest assure, He knows who will and will not follow Him well before we even exsist. Count it a blessing that God has chosen you to endure your struggles with Him instead of alone. "Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen." (II Peter 3:17-18). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day here on earth and thankl you for the many blessings you give me each day. My Lord, bless us with a steadfast heart, one where no unworthy affection may drag us down, an unconquered heart, where no tribulation can wear us out. Bless us also with understanding to know you, diligence to seek you, wisdom to find you, and a faithfulness that may finally embrace you with complete trust. Take my heart, dear Lord, and hold it in the palm of your hand. May it beat with the pulse of you. Shine your light into the very depth of my heart, and may your light shine through the windows of my soul so that I may be used as a beacon of light to lead others to you! In Jesus' name, I pray....Amen. Have a wonderful day/night. Hello My Friend/Guest, "Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare." (Psalm 75:1) It is Wednesday December 19, 2007 and today we are completing our studies on the book of I Peter. Please read, I Peter 3 -- 5. In Today's Reading we will learn about the duties of husbands and wives; suffering and reward; and the duties of the elders and all Christians. There is just One True and Complete Source of spiritual knowledge and strength. The Holy Spirit led the apostle to write: "If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles (wisdom) of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."(I Peter 4:11). In contrast to the Word of God are the opinions and traditions of mere men. We must not modify or ignore the only Guide to Life that our Creator has given as the standard by which we must live. The last recorded words that Jesus spoke personally to Peter were on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, when Jesus asked three times, if he loved Him more than these. "So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep."(John 21:15-17). Peter fulfilled that commission by passing the Word along to all of us. Caring for, defending, guiding, and numerous other duties are needed by and for believers; but feed My sheep means to teach them all of God's Word, from Genesis through Revelation. All of us can be involved. Some write, edit, and print, while others support the distribution of the teaching ministries for Jesus, who also commands us to Feed My sheep. The underlying principle of most worldly endeavors is: "How much is in it for me?" This spirit of greed, pride, and power so permeated everything in our age that even some churches are not free from self-serving ambition. Because the Word of God is alive and never changes, and human nature also remains unchanged, the message the Holy Spirit led the Apostle Paul to write to Timothy is still applicable to us today: "I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine." (II Timothy 4:1-2). The Lord loves us and wants the best for all of us on earth, all he askes is that we stay away from the worldly things that cause us to do evil things."Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil." (I Peter 3:8-12). Today's prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day. Lord, walk with me, guide me, and be with me in all I do today. Enlighten the darkness of my heart and strengthen my faith, bless me with hope, perfect charity, wisdom and understanding. Lord, most of all give me the will that I may carry out your holy and true command. In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen.
Have a great and wonderful day/night. God Bless, Chrisitna Visit A Spiritual Guide http://www.aspiritualguide.net" title="http://www.aspiritualguide.net" target="_blank"http://www.aspiritualguide.ne...

| Jesus Said: December 19, 2007 |
| 12.19.07 (8:05 am) [edit] |
12.19.07 "And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague." Mark 5:25-34 Of all the women in the Bible reaching out for Jesus I think this is my favorite story. This woman had been suffering for so many years and when she heard that He was near she had so much faith in Him that if she could just touch the hem of His clothing she knew she would be healed. And the most amazing part is when Jesus knew He had been touched by her. I imagine that there were hundereds of people there touching Him, many curious, some I am sure did not believe in Him and wanted proof of His exsistance. Among all of these people, one woman's faith was so strong that the simple tug of His clothes got His attention. "Who Touched me?" he says. While his disciples said many were touching him, move on, He looked around to see who it was and there she was bowing down before him in fear. She needed not to be in fear for her faith is all He needed to heal her. This is the type of faith I long to have with our Lord Jesus, although I believe in our Lord and will do anything for Him, I admittingly lack in that complete trust and faith over our Lord. It is that crazy flesh of mine that wants to make things happen right this second instead of giving it over to Him to take care of. I will give you an example of how great Jesus works when you put complete faith in Him. I will honestly say that I am overweight and always struggling to lose weight, I have starved myself, exercised profoundly, cut out so many things from my diet, and tried every diet and diet pill imagined only to lose a few pounds and gain it all back and then some once I made myself sick. I was so discouraged and dissappointed in myself, I was sick and tired all the time and really at a loss on what I could do to make myself just healthy again. Well, about 6 weeks ago I decided that it was time to stop stressing out over this and trying to do it all myself. I asked God to help me, I began putting my focus on Jesus instead of losing weight. Within the first week I was feeling better and since Oct. 25, 2007 I have lost 15 pounds, about 2 pounds a week, the norm of what a person should lose in a week. And guess what? I am not starving myself, I am not exercising profoundly and I am not cutting anything out of my diet. My complete trust in Jesus helped me to start losing weight, the second I take my focus off Him I want to fall back into my old habits of taking diet pills and staving myself. Praise Jesus that He got me away from all that before it was too late. Jesus is there for all who come to Him, He loves you so much and will take care of every struggle that you are dealing with. Put your faith in Him and see what He can do for you.

Hello My Friend/Guest, "In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me. Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress." (Psalm 71:1-3) It is Tuesday December 18, 2007 and today we are beginning our studies on the book of I Peter. Please read, I Peter 1 -- 2. In Today's Reading we will learn about the call to Christian dedication; the proper use of Christian liberty; and the example of Christ's suffering.
The book of I Peter was written by the apostle Peter to the Exiles (those banished) who were being persecuted for their Christian faith. The purpose of this letter was to warn believers of the dangers of persecution from those outside of the Church. "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." (I Peter 1:1-5) Peter referred to Christians as elect, those who are chosen through sanctification of the Spirit, and by the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. "Sprinkling" alludes to the blood which was sprinkled on the Brazen Altar as a symbol of the people's obedience to God, as well as on the people as a symbol of God's acceptance of them (See Exodus 24:1-11). As Christians, we look forward to the inheritance reserved in heaven for us. And although we have this promise during our brief lifetime in this world, Peter urged that since we are strangers and only spend a brief moment of our lifetime on earth that we should abstain from the fleshly desires that cause us to war against our own soul."But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation." (2:9-12). Peter continued to remind us of the importance of living a holy life, saying: "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king." (1:13-17) "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls." (21-25). Since the Bible is our one complete source of guidance and strength, Peter urged believers that as babies (new converts) we desire to be fed the milk of the Word so we may grow more Spiritually. Peter points out that the nourishment of the Word is essential if we are to live as obedient children. Our desire to know the Bible in order to do the Lord's will is always in our very best interest. Seeing that you have purified your souls by obeying the truth through the Spirit explains how surrender to the Lord's authority and the power of His Word transforms lives. Peter describes Christians as a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Each of us is a sacred temple for the indwelling Holy Spirit. In addition, we have been chosen to chosen to represent God therefore we are to show praises to Him for He called us out of the darkness and into the light. Praise God that you are a chosen one. Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day here on earth and thank you for the many blessings you have given me today. You are worthy of all praise so today I will spend this time only praising You. Thank you for my life on this earth, however challenging or not.Thank you for giving me free will to love and be loved, to make my own decisions, to learn from my mistakes, to laugh when I am happy, to cry when I am sad. Thank you for my family, my friends, my pets, my colleagues, and for every other living creature I meet along my journey. Thank you for giving me strength to overcome adversity, to do what's right for the benefit of the greater good, to rise above negativity. Thank you for giving me hope for an end to world suffering, pain, and war, for a beginning of a world filled with light and everlasting love. In Jesus' name, I praise You.....Amen.
Have a wonderful and joyful day/night. God bless, Christina

Hello My Friend/Guest,
"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death." (Psalm 68:19-20) It in Monday December 17, 2007 and today we are studying the book of James. Please read, James 1 -- 5. In Today's Reading we are learning about Christians rejoicing in trials; heeding the Word of God; faith that works; dangers of the tongue; worldliness and pride; warning to the rich; and the power of prayer.
The book of James was written by James to Believers among the twelve tribes of Israel and all who believe. His purpose was to comfort believers undergoing trials for their faith. "James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting." (James 1:1) Some people are inclined to tell others about all their sufferings and sorrows with a fear that they will come off as a "Woe is Me" attitude of despair in order to seek sympathy. Others are prone to blame anyone, even God, for their problems. James may surprise you because he wrote: "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." (James 1:2-4). Furthermore, James reminds us that those who endure temptation receive the crown of life which the Lord promioses us, but let no one say that a temptaion is something that was sent by God for God can not tempt us with evil. God allows the devil to afflict us, but He also gives us free will to choose whether we fall into that temptation. "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." (1:12-15). Trials in life may seem to be undesirable and a waste of time, but they are a great benefit to those who remain teachable and faithful. The fact is the trial of your faith, is much more precious than fulfilling fleshly desires. However. James assures us that we can overcome any sin by prayer and forgiveness. "But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:12-16) All of us need to be reminded to draw near to God, and He will draw near to us and help us resist the temptations of the devil. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." (James 4:7-8). Pity the poor soul who believes that it is only the Devil who is giving him a hard time and, consequently, feels frustrated and distressed. All trials and assaults by Satan can only happen with the permission of God and should prompt us to praise the Lord, knowing that our faith develops patience, we don't need to fear what may happen. As Christians, we possess the whole armour of God so that ye may be able to stand against theschemes and trickery of the Devil. To withstand the Devil during our trials, we must remember Paul's words of encouragement to the Ephesians, "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;" (Ephesians 6:13-18). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with this day and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day. Lord, in every need let me come to You with humble trust saying, "Jesus, help me." In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations, Jesus, help me. In hours of loneliness, weariness, and trials, Jesus, help me. In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles, and sorrows, Jesus, help me. When others fail me and Your grace alone can assist me, help me. When I throw myself on Your tender love as a father and savior, Jesus, help me. When my heart is cast down by failure at seeing no good come from my efforts, Jesus, help me. When I feel impatient and my cross irritates me, Jesus, help me. When I am ill and my head and hands cannot work and I am lonely, Jesus, help me.Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls, and shortcomings of every kind, Jesus, help me and never forsake me. In your mighty name, Jesus, I pray......Amen.
Have a wonderful day/night and week. God Bless, Christina Visit A Spiritual Guide http://www.aspiritualguide.net" title="http://www.aspiritualguide.net" target="_blank"http://www.aspiritualguide.ne...

Hello My Friend/Guest, "For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee. O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD." (Psalm 31:22-24) It is Sunday December 16, 2007 and today we are completing our studies on the book of Hebrews. Please read, Hebrews 11 -- 13. In Today's Reading we will learn about the worthy fruits of faith, patience, and godliness; a warning against disobedience; and service that is pleasing to God. The history of the people of God confirms that some endured hostile circumstances and suffering, yet remained faithful and fulfilled His will. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." (Hebrews 11:1-3). In the book of Hebrews we are given a review of some of them, By faith Abel offer God a better sacrifice than Able, By faith Abraham, was te sted by offering up Isaac as a scarifice, By faith Noah built an Ark, By faith Moses refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, the list goes on and on. (Hebrews 11:4-38). These people chose to suffer affliction with the people of God, rather than enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. Esteeming the reproach of Christ was far greater riches than the treasures in Egypt. The Old Testament men and women listed in this chapter chose to obey God and to live godly lives, regardless of the outcome, often being blessed far beyond measure. This reminds us of how much more our Savior has made available to us by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Surely, we too can lay aside every weight, and sin that bears us, and endure what we are faced with. The runners who win the race of life are looking unto Jesus, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, thinking little of the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin." (12:1-4). The Christian life demands self-denial, discipline, and wholehearted love for God and His Word. These characteristics distinguish the true Christian from the self-indulgence practiced by the world. We must decide for ourselves, by a prayerful reading of the Scriptures and self-examination, if there are worldly hindrances to our spiritual lives that need to be eliminated. The race of which Paul writes is a life of faithfulness and obedience. Jesus said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me (See Luke 9). A life without Jesus may fulfill the desires of the world for a time, but no matter how much you have you will never be satisfied. Do not let people fool you into thinking they are happy, wealth can end in an instant, but Jesus is eternal and will never leave you. He will make you richer then you ever imagine. Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with another day here on earth and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day. Lord, give me yourself, for you are sufficient for me. If I were to ask anything less I should always be in want, for in you alone do I have all. Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life to you and ask you to come in as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life and make me the kind of person you want me to be. In Jesus name, I pray......Amen Have a wonderful day/night and week. 12.15.07 "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."- Matthew 6:5-13 (KJV) Often people pray and pray, they even ask people to pray for them only to see no results. God does not do this to punish you He does this to strengthen your faith in Him as well as make sure you are prepared to handle that prayer being answered. In the verses above Jesus is explaining to His disciples the proper way to pray. God knows exactly what we are in need of even before we ask Him, if you are praying for something that is going to cause harm to yourself or others you can rest assure that that prayer will not be answered. This is also true if you are praying for something useless over and over again. We all have needs and desires, but when they become more important to you than God He will wait until you realize that you are more focused on vanity than Him. Another reason a prayer is not answered is because we are not truly believing that it will happen. When we pray we are to pray with faith as if that prayer is already answered. We are to go to God with confidence, talk to Him, let Him know that we need Him and keep it between you and God. Yes, you can ask someone to pray for you and it is also good to pray for others as well, but keep your prayers between you and God. Keep doing these things and you can rest assure that those prayers will be answered. Then as you see them answered you can tell the world that God answered that prayer. Praise God.

Hello My Friend/Guest, "And all men shall fear (respect), and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing. The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory." (Psalm 64:9-10) It is Saturday December 15, 2007 and today we are continuing our studies on the book of Hebrews. Please read, Hebrews 8 -- 10. In Today's Reading we will learn about the New Covenant; the perfect sacrifice of Christ compared to temporary sacrifices under the Law; and an appeal to remain faithful. The Tabernacle and worship system for Israel was revealed by God to Moses on Mount Sinai. The system of worship consisted of numerous sacrifices which could not cleanse from sins but could only "cover" them temporarily. However, every detail of this complex worship system was symbolic of the future single sacrifice of Christ on the cross. "For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. 4For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount." (Hebrews 8:3-5) Jesus replaced Israel's high priest, multitude of priests, and all of the sacrificial worship system. God foretold through His prophet Jeremiah of a future Covenant. "But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away." (Hebrew s 8:6-13),(Compare to Jeremiah 31). The Holy Spirit led Pual to write this letter to the Hebrews to point out that the Old Covenant had looked forward to a greater and more perfect Tabernacle. "But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us." (9:11-12). The words more perfect Tabernacle refer to the bodily manifestation of God the Son, since the Tabernacle's contents, as well as the Tabernacle itself, symbolized Christ, His life, ministry, and death, as did all of the sacrifices. Animal sacrifices are no longer acceptable because Christ being come an High Priest of good things to come and by His own blood He entered in once into the Holy Place, giving e ternal redemption to us. Under the Old Covenant worship system, the blood of goats and calves, which were innocent animals, was sacrificed daily for worshipers' sins. But Christ, who is God become Man, shed His own blood and ended once and for all the Old Covenant. "It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." (9:23-28). The confession of our faith is a public acknowledgment that we have renounced the world and its lust of the flesh, and of the eyes, and the pride of life to remain loyal to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has done so much for us. God commended His love toward us in that while we were yet sinneres, Christ died for us and saved us from eternal death. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." (Romans 5:8-9). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day. Lord, search the ground of my heart: prove me and examine my thoughts. If there be any wickedness in me, any root of bitterness yet undiscovered remove it from me and lead me in the way of Your everlasting will for me. Show me the true state of my soul and teach me to focus on You instead of the world. In Jesus' name, I pray.....Amen. Have a wonderful day/night and weekend. God Bless, Chrisitna

Hello My Friend/Guest, "But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy." (Psalm 69:16-17) It is Friday December 14, 2007 and today we are continuing our studies of the book of Hebrews, Please read Hebrews 5-7. In Today's Reading we will learn about Christ, the High Priest, an appeal to believe; a priestly order of Melchizedek; and the Aaronic priesthood's lower in standing next to Christ's priesthood. God uses men called high priests also called ministers to educate His people on how He wants them to become. In the beginning when a person sinned he was to take a lamb to the high priest and as it was sacrificed he was saved from eternal death. These people were called on God personally and they were commanded to give God the glory for being saved. "For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins. And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron." (Hebrews 5:1-4). How thankful are we that mercy is an attribute of God, for it is one of our greatest daily needs. Mercy is an expression of His willingness to forgive sinners and deliver them from that eternal death. Mercy involves love and is a practical demonstration of this compassion. Because God is also holy, He must enforce the penalty for sin without respect of persons, meaning that He does not pick and choose who is penalized for sin, we all are and the wages of sin is death (See Romans 6:23). In the Old Testament, a sinless lamb took the place of an Israelite and was slain in his place for his sin. The devout Jew was continually reminded that it is this blood that was punishment for the soul (See Leviticus 17:11). The need for numerous sacrifices ceased when Jesus, the sinless Son of God, died on the cross for our sins and became the Lamb of God, which took away the sin of the world (See John 1:29). In doing this Jesus became the source of eternal salvation. "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:12-14). Since we so often fail to be all that we should be and rightly deserve the judgment of God, it is His mercy that gives a Christian assurance of a continued relationship with Him. In turn, the true believer will express mercy in his relationships with others because the Spirit of God dwells in his heart. We are blessed with His promise, "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy." (Matthew 5:7). Today's prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day here on earth and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day. Lord, thank you for my life on this earth, however challenging or not. Thank you for giving me free will to love and be loved, to make my own decisions, to learn from my mistakes, to laugh when I am happy, to cry when I am sad. Thank you for giving me strength to overcome adversity, to do what's right for the benefit of the greater good, to rise above negativity. Thank you for giving me hope for an end to world suffering, pain, and war, for a beginning of a world filled with light and everlasting love. And most of all that you for Your mercy and the greatest gift of all and that is salvation through Jesus. In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen. Have a wonderful day/night and weekend. "And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it."- Mark 4:30-32 When Jesus first began teaching the gospel and showing them His wonderful works people were in awe and knew that He was the Messiah, yet there were many, including some disciples that lacked in their faith. In Mark Chapter 4 Jesus explains to His disciples that there are several levels of faith, and that faith grew in all who had even the tiniest amount as long as they nurtured it with the right soil. So, how does our faith grow? It grows first by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, after all He is the only way to reach the kingdom of God, also by staying in His Word, by talking with Him and walking with Him. A wonderful thing begins to happen as your faith grows in Jesus, you feel His presence with you and no matter what you are going through you are at peace knowing that He will get you through it. I remember the times when I did not walk with Jesus, I was so lost and depressed and simply exsited as if I were a zombie. God knew that I was hurting, He let me fall as much as I could handle and then He picked me up and showed me what I was doing wrong. Sometimes it is not easy to let the Lord guide me as this crazy flesh wants to take control of situations, however once I come to my senses and let Him know that I can not handle it on my own I am at peace once again.
The same thing will happen to you, as long as you have the tiniest bit of faith Jesus will work in your heart and that faith will keep growing and growing and growing. What a great feeling to know that Jesus is always with you and has so much faith in you that He knows you will succeed.

Hello My Friend/Guest, "As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me." (Psalm 55:16-18) It is Thursday December 13, 2007 and today we begin our studies on the book of Hebrews. Please read, Hebrews 1 -- 4 In Today's Reading we will learn why Christ assumed a human body; about Christ's superiority to angels and Moses; salvation; Christ, and our High Priest.
The book of Hebrews was written by Paul to the Jewish believers who were also known as Hebrews, his purpose was to present Jesus Christ as superior over all and that Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant established on better promises. "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they." (Hebrews 1:1-4) Throughout the entire Bible, Old and New Testaments angels have been sent to assist believers through their walk with the Lord, often in times of distress. To name a few, angels delivered Lot out of Sodom when he was held captive (See Genesis 19:1-26); they ministered to Jesus following His 40-day fast (See Matthew 4:11); and an angel delivered Peter from prison (See Acts 12:11). But, even more comforting to us is knowing that angels were sent to minister to all who are to inherit salvation. "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? " (1:14) Long before we were even thought of God knew who would inherit salvation and from the second we are born He works in our hearts. Those thoughts, those people who show up at your door or walk up to you, are all used by God to minister to the lost the true gospel of Jesus. Even when it seems that Satan has devastated our lives, God, who created and rules the universe, in His own way causes the works of Satan and the wrath of men to further His ultimate will for each one of us. However, the importance of angels does not compare to the superiority of Christ. "For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him." (1:5-6). Yet, despite His eternal superiority as Creator of angels, because of His great love for us, Jesus willingly was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death for He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. In order for the world to be saved He came to earth in the flesh to endure all the suffering that man is faced with in order to show all mankind that the devil has no power over the flesh. One can live on the earth and be faced with temptations and suffering and still overcome all of that through faith in God. Jesus sacrificed His life for us so that we can be made perfect in the eyes of God through His sufferings and blood shed. "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted." (2:9-18). While God has His angels who minister to us, Satan has his fallen angels (evil doers) who do his bidding. Paul warned us that Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light in order to deceive us. "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." (II Corinthians 11:14). It is of utmost importance that we do not worship angels, as some are doing today. Angels are created beings and we are to worship the Creator, not the creation. Angels are merely guides that show us the way, they are not God himself. The Apostle John records in Revelation: "And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God." (Revelation 22:8-9). Today's Prayer: Psalm 20:3-9
3Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. 4Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. 5We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions. 6Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. 7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. 8They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. 9Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call. Have a wonderful day/night and God Bless

Hello My Friend/Guest, "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit." (Psalm 51:10-12) It is Wednesday December 12, 2007 and today we are studying the books of Titus and Philemon. Please read Titus 1-3 & Philemon 1. In Today's Reading we will learn about the qualifications of church leaders; a warning against false teachers; eternal life not by our works of righteousness but by His mercy; and Paul's appeal for Onesimus. Paul wrote the letter of Titus to Titus, a Greek convert and fellow worker with Paul. The purpose of this letter was to correct problems and establish proper order in the churches located on the island of Crete. "Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour; To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:" (Titus 1:1-5) The churches on the island of Crete needed spiritual leadership, so Paul instructed Titus to ordain qualified men to fill these positions."If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers." (Titus 1:6-9). The Church belongs to Christ and is His Body on earth. Therefore, His qualifications for spiritual leaders must be followed; man's alternative options are unacceptable to God. Paul's letter to Titus warns that leaders must be blameless in their personal lives. Paul gave instruction that older men and women should teach the younger men and women, instructing them to forsake evil passions and worldly ambitions, and to live honorably before the Lord. "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." (2:11-14). Our teaching must be based upon the threefold work of Christ for His people as a result of His death upon the cross. 1) He set us free and redeemed us from all iniquity, 2) He set us apart and purified unto Himself a special possession, and 3) He called us to be enthusiastic of good works. The letter of Philemon was also written by Paul to Philemon, a Christian who lived at Colosse. The purpose of this letter was to appeal for Onesimus, the runaway slave of Philemon who had become a believer. The book also serves as a practical example of Christian principles applied to social relationships. It also illustrates the principle of forgiveness, and the ministry of intercession. "Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer, And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house: 10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me: Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels: Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel: But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly." Philemon, 1-2,10-14 Paul simply identifies himself as a prisoner of Jesus Christ, although Paul was imprisoned by the Roman Empire, he knew who really had control of his life. In his letter to Philemon he expressed the same attitude of gratitude. "I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." (Philem on 1:4-6). No matter what we are going through Jesus is always with us, we must remian focused on Jesus and be gracious of all that we experience in life, the good and bad. It is only by doing this are we able to overcome any situation and see the light beyond the darkness. Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with thsi day and thank you for the many blessings you have given me. Thank you for the many blessings that I take for granted each day like food, water, and clothes. Lord, no matter what I am going through please help me to set my focus on You and not on the problems that I am facing. It is only that when You are with me am I truly able to overcome any situation. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray......Amen. Have a wonderful day/night full of many unexpected blessings, God Bless, Christina

Hello My Friend/Guest, "Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me. Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long."- Psalm 35:26-28 It is Tuesday December 11, 2007 and today we are studying the book of II Timothy. Please read, II Timothy 1 -- 4. In Today's Reading we will learn about Pauls advice to Timothy; the coming denial of faith; steadfastness in the Scriptures; and the charge to preach.
Paul wrote this letter to Timothy from prison to challenge him to assume responsibility for the ministry which the apostle was handing over due to his forthcoming death. Paul knew he would soon be executed for his faith. The purpose of this letter was to show the divine pattern for multiplication of the Gospel message, "to each one, teach one and reach one". "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;" (II Timothy 1:1-4)
Paul reminds Timothy that his mother and grandmother had faithfully taught him that God did not give us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind. We are reminded that Jesus saved us through a holy calling, not according to the good that we do, but according to our faith in our Saviour."When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:" (II Timothy 1:5-10) He encouraged Timothy to remember that choosing to live godly in Christ shall cause one to suffer persecution, but to continue to do so as the holy Scriptures will make a person wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. We are reminded that all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God to teach and correct us so that we are made perfect in His eyes. "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (II Timothy 3:12-17). It is not in harmony with biblical doctrine to say: "Every Scripture that is inspired" because all Scripture is inspired, even as Jesus pointed out to two of His disciples when beginning at Moses in the first five books of the Bible and all the prophets. He described to them that all the Scriptures related to Himself. "Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself." (Luke 24:26-27). Jesus never once implied that some Scripture was inspired and other portions of the Old Testament were not inspired. All Scripture obviously means every verse in the Bible. This is a doctrine of vital importance to the Church in this generation. The Old Testament as well as the New Testament warn against addition to or subtraction from God's inspired Word (See Deuteronomy 4:2 & Revelation 22:18-19). The Almighty God obviously controls all the affairs of the universe and nothing could have been more vital than His control over the men whom He led to translate into English the One Book that reveals His will for our lives over 400 years ago. The Word of God is the only true source for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. We are to learn and preach (teach) the Word at all times for if we do not stay in His Word we will turn away from the truth and into a myth."I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (4:1-4). Nothing is as essential as knowing God's Word. There are no options, no substitutes, no alternatives which can replace it. Paul also spoke of some that have a form of godliness, but turn away in order to live for the world. "For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." (3:2-7) . Their doctrine may be correct, but it has no genuine effect upon their heart, thoughts or conduct. All Scripture is profitable for discipline in righteousness, giving direction for growing in grace. This means it teaches us to be all that God would have us to be in order to fulfull His perfect will for our lives. Surely the Holy Spirit is still saying study God's Word to show yourself approved to God. We do not need to be ashamed to love the Lord, nor tell others that we follow Him. Ignore the gossip and do not stoop to their level as by doing so will only cause more ungodliness. "Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness." (2:14-16). Dear Lord, Grant me to greet the day in peace, help me in all things to rely upon your holy will, in every hour of the day reveal your will to me and Bless my dealings with all who surround me. Lord, teach me to treat all that comes to throughout the day with peace of soul and with firm conviction that your will governs all. In all my deeds and words, guide my thoughts and feelings. In unforeseen events, let me not forget that all are sent by you. Teach me to act firmly and wisely, without embittering and embarrassing others. Give me strength to bear the fatigue of the day with all that it shall bring. Direct my will, teach me to pray. And you, yourself, pray in me. In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen. Hello My Friend/Guest, "Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart."- Psalm 32:10-11 It is Monday December 10, 2007 and today we are studying the book of I Timothy. Please read, I Timothy 1 -- 6. In Today's Reading we will learn about a warning against false doctrine; thankfulness for mercy; qualifications of church leaders; instructions about the widows and the elderly; and the good fight of faith.
Paul wrote this letter to Timothy, who was ministering as an temporary pastor in the church at Ephesus. The letter concerns some of the problems and needs which existed in this church. The purpose of the letter was to teach all believers that we should live a life of example of the ministry to which we have been called. "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope; Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do." (I Timothy 1:1-4) The Roman emperor Nero was ruthlessly persecuting Christians and condemning many of them to death at the time Paul wrote this letter. Yet, Paul emphasized the importance of Christians praying for those who were in authority over them, regardless of their conduct. He wrote: "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;" (I Timothy 2:1-8). We are to pray for world leaders as well as for our local officials, we can be sure our prayers will have an effect upon their actions, whether the men themselves are godly or evil. "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will." (Proverbs 21:1). Christians should faithfully witness the truth as revealed by Christ in His Word, even when it could mean imprisonment or death. While many shall turn their ears from the truth, we must remain faithful in all things and endure all afflictions. The number of those suffering affliction and being put to death for their faith in Christ continues to grow in many countries. The Apostle Peter was willing to defend his faith in Christ when he was confronted by government officials who warned him that he should not teach in this name. (See Acts 5). "For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. These things command and teach. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee." (4:10-16) Later, Peter emphasized the responsibility of Christians to be law-abiding citizens, "Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well." (I Peter 2:12-14). If the law of a government violates the revealed will of God then the believer is to obey God and willingly suffer any penalties. We can rest assured that no matter what we have done in the past as well as the present that we are saved by His mercy. "For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" (Titus 3:3-5). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day here on earth and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day.
My Lord, I know that I have not always lived my life righteously. I have done wrong through my thoughts, my actions, and the things that I have said, sometimes by mistake and sometimes on purpose. At times, I have gone my own way and not put you at the center of my life. Forgive me Lord for my sins and I thank you that I can ask You this because I truly believe that your Son, Jesus, died in my place and, through Him, You have mercy upon me. Please help me to follow you more closely every day and live a life which gives glory back to you. In Jesus' name, I pray......Amen Have a wonderful day/night God Bless, Christina

Hello My Friend/Guest, "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever."- Psalm 28:7-9 It is Saturday December 8, 207 and today we will study the book of I Thessalonians. Please read, I Thessalonians 1 -- 5. In Today's Reading we will learn about Paul's preaching; his appeal for purity; and the coming day of the Lord. The letter of I Thessalonians was written by Paul to the believers at Thessalonica, his pourpose for writing the letter was to confirm to all believers that the Lord is coming back: To commend and exhort for the faith and correct false doctrine. Paul also answers false charges against his ministry. "Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake." (I Thessalonians 1-5) The certainty of the believer's eternal life with Christ is based on the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul wrote: "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." (I Thessalonians 4:14-18). The return of Christ will be the greatest event since His ascension when, while they believed He was taken up into a cloud and dissappeared. His return was confirmed at the time of His ascension by two witnesses from heaven: "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." (Acts 1:9-11). Prior to His ascension, Jesus had promised His disciples: "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." (John 14:2-3). There are no words to adequately describe the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ. All of history is reduced to just two ages: the present age that began with Adam, and the age to come. You will know perfectly well when the day of the Lord will come. "But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." (I Thessalonians 5:1-4). Each day that goes by we are moving toward the appointed day of the Lord. This is the joyous anticipation of every Christian who is faithfully preparing and waiting for the triumphant return of our Redeemer. Because of this assurance of Christ's return, Paul was led to write this, "Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves." (I Thessalonians 5:11-13). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day.
Lord Jesus, help me to remain faithful to You and your calling upon my life.
Strengthen and grow my faith as I daily search Your Scriptures and apply their truths to my spiritual walk.
As I go through the trials and experiences of my earthly journey would You fix my eyes and my ever-wandering heart upon You, Jesus. When the howling winds and forceful storms of this life attempt to shipwreck my faith may they instead prove my faith to be more than sufficient to withstand the continual assaults from the enemy. I take refuge in You, Jesus my spiritual foundation is firm, always dependable, and leads me to glorious victory. In Your mighty name, Jesus, I pray.....Amen Have a wonderful day/night and weekend. God Bless You, Christina

Hello My Friend/Guest, "Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause." - Paslm 25:1-3 It is Friday December 7, 2007 and today we are studying th e book of Colossians. Please read, Colossians 1 -- 4 In Today's Reading we will learn about mystery made manifest; the supremacy of Christ; reconciliation in Christ; Christ in you, the hope of glory, a warning against false teaching; Christian virtues; and Christian families.
Paul wrote this letter to the believers at Colosse who were to share the letter with the believers at Laodecea. His purpose for writting this letter was to deal with doctrinal (teaching) issues in the church. Here we learn that Christ is all and is in all. "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:" (Colossians 1:1-6) As we continue reading God's Word with a desire to please Him in all of our decisions, the Holy Spirit guides us into a deeper revelation of His will and His ways. There is no limit to the understanding, strength, and endurance that are made available to every Christian. Christ alone, through His Word, can reveal and meet all of our spiritual needs. To help us grasp the importance of this, Paul wrote, "For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:" (Colossians 1:9-12). Notice how often the word all is used, all wisdom, all pleasing, all might, all patience. We must not cease from praying and desiring to know the Word of God. It is only by doing this will we be strong in our faith to endure any struggle that comes our way. What follows is the practical demonstrat ion of the new life in Christ for all believers. "For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." (2:5-8). As evidence of this new life as Christians, Paul encouraged the new believers to set their love on the things above and not on the things of the world. When we accept Jesus into our lives our old deceitful flesh becomes dead to God and a new life is born, one that dwells with Jesus Christ. Therfore we are to humble ourselves and live not for the desires of the flesh, meaning we are to stay away from people and actions that cause us to sin against our bodies. "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them." (3:1-7). The Christian's strength in fulfilling God's will is the result of letting the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom. And whatever you do in word or deed do it All in the name of the Lord, Jesus and by giving thanks to God by Him. "Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbe aring one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." (3:11-17). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day.
Lord, I admit that I have not always set my love on the things above, my flesh has often reached for the temptations of the world rather than for You. Please forgive me, Lord for the times that I have forgotten You in order to fulfill the desires of my flesh. Wash me and cleanse me from the past and create in me a new heart that only desires You. I give You thanks for everything that You have given me, I especially thank you for sending your Son, Jesus to take my place on the cross for all my sins. When I should have been paying the price for these Jesus paid by debt. I love You Lord, Jesus and ask You to stay close by me forever and teach me to learn Your Word and to live for God. In Your mighty name Jesus, I pray....Amen. Have a wonderful day/night and weekend. May God bless you with unaswered prayers and may He bless those who have lost their way. God Bless, Christina

Hello My Friend/Guest,
"Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's."- Psalm 103:1-5 It is Wednesday December 5, 2007 and today we are completing our studies on the book of Ephesians. Please read, Ephesians 4 -- 6. In Today's Reading we will learn about exhortations (to urge) on unity; spiritual gifts; the importance of holiness; walk in love; marriage, symbolic of the Church; duties of children; and the armor of God. When we let the love of Christ flow through us and manifest His loving-kindness to everyone without discrimination, then we enjoy His bountiful blessings. We are to overcome all thoughts of resentment without exception, this means that we are to let go of all bitterness and hatred that causes thoughts of harm or pain on someone. "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:" (Ephesians 4:29-31). Instead, we are to be kind and forgiving to one another. "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." (4:32). Wrath and anger are often demonstrated in an outburst of abusive language as a reaction against someone who disagrees with our views and actions. Sadly, when some people are offended they are unwilling to forgive. Even more serious is the sin of slander, or false to damage someone's reputation, which is one of the seven sins that God hates the most. "These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren." (Proverbs 6:16-19). The presence of any of these evils destroys our peace of mind, grieves the Holy Spirit, and affects our relationship with God. However, if we allow the Holy Spirit to rule our lives feelings of anger will be overcome. Instead of thoughts of bitterness, revenge, and anger, we should see difficult situations as opportunities to pray for those who wrong us. Our example should be Stephen, who prayed while he was being stoned to death. "And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep." (Acts 7:60). Every Christian is a representative of the Lord Jesus Christ and is responsible to respond with His love toward all who, by their words, attitudes, or actions, are unlovely. He is the Head of His Body the Church and we are that Body. It is under His direction that the whole Body is fitted together perfectly to work in harmony to perfect all believers for building up the Body of Christ. "He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love." (Ephesians 4:10-16). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank You for blessing me with another day here on earth and thank You for the many blessings you give me each day.
Lord, I want to be perfect for building up the Body of Christ. I know that I have let anger and bitterness control my thoughts and actions at times. Please forgive me of my sins and teach me to look beyond the anger and hurt and to look through Your eyes of love toward one another. I know that as long as I stay angry and not forgive those who hurt me all I am doing is hurting myself because I am letting that anger control me. Lord, walk with me, guide me, and be with me in all that I do so that I am perfect in Your eyes and stay faithful to You. In Jesus name, I pray......Amen.
Have a great and joyful day/night. God Bless, Christina Visit A Spitiual Guide http://www.aspiritualguide.net" title="http://www.aspiritualguide.net" target="_blank"http://www.aspiritualguide.ne...

Hello My Friend/Guest, "The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy."- Psalm 147:11, To fear the Lord is not to be afraid of Him, but to apperciate Him. It is Tuesday December 4, 2007 and today we begin studying the book of Ephesians. Please read, Ephesians 1 -- 3. In Today's Reading we will learn about the spiritual blessings in Christ; the prayers of Paul; the unity of believers; and Paul's mission to the Gentiles.
The book of Ephesians was written by Paul to the church of Ephesus and all who believe in Jesus Christ. His purpose was to inform believers of their wealth in Christ and instruct them concerning their walk in Him. "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ." God who created all mankind has chosen us to be His children. In fact, he chose us before the beginning of the world. "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;" (Ephesians 1:4-7). No person or power can cheat us out of the very best that God has planned for our lives. As we daily read and study His Word with a desire to do His will, we can then pray and depend upon the Holy Spirit to guide our lives as we are His workmanship and created us to follow Jesus and walk in His good works. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (2:8-10). Before Christ came to earth, only the Jews had a Covenant relationship with God. Paul explained to the Ephesians that when they were without Jesus they were strangers to the covenant agreement and had no hope without God living in the world. "Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ." (2:11-13). Jews and Gentiles alike who receive Christ as Savior and Lord now have a Covenant relationship with God through the New Testament sealed with Christ's blood. "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." (Matthew 26:26-285). It is only through Jesus that we have we have access to God.
In A.D. 70, God used the Roman general Titus to destroy the Temple, the Brazen Altar of Sacrifice, and the functions of the high priest. These merely foreshadowed the Messiah Jesus who is the only Means through which anyone can approach the One True Holy God to worship Him. Now we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him. "According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory." (3:11-13). Is it any surprise that Satan will deceptively seek to keep us too busy, even doing "good" things, in his effort to keep us from reading God's Word which will make our prayers effective? Because of our love for the Lord, the true believer looks forward to a daily conversation of talking to God by prayer and God talking to us by reading His Word. "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." (Ephesi ans 3:14-21). Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day here on earth and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day.
I thank you, Lord for choosing me to be one of Your children. Out of all the people in the world, you chose me long before I was even thought of.
What a blessing it is to know that You think of me as someone who you can trust to fulfill your purpose.
Lord, walk with me, guide me, and show me the way to walk in Your good works. Help me to stay focused and put You first about all things.
Lord, I know you sent us to be your messenger and to tell all about the New Convenant that was made by Jesus. Help us to grow with You and give us the wisdom and understanding to accomplish this great task. We are so blessed and I thank you for all that you do to keep us free from satan's power. In Jesus, name, I pray,,,,,,,Amen

Hello My Friend/Guest, "Blessed be the LORD my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me."- Psalm 144:1-2 It is Monday December 3, 2007 and today we are continuing our studies on the book of Galatians. Please read, Galatians 4 -- 6 In Today's Reading we will leanr about the two Covenants of Law and promise; the liberty of the Gospel; and the fruit of the Spirit. As we accept Jesus into our lives we are led by the spirit to live a more righteous life. The Apostle Paul recorded seventeen sins that keep people from inheriting the Kingdom of God should they continue to live in these sins. "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication (sex before marriage), uncleanness (lustful thoughts), lasciviousness (fulfilling lusts), Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations (trying to surpass someone's success), wrath, strife, seditions (rebellion), heresies (disagree with the Bible's teachings), Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings (get drunk), and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." (Galatians 5:16-21). Beginning the list are adultery, fornication, and uncleanness, these sins include intercourse between any unmarried man and woman, as well as the perversions of sex, such as homosexuality. The works of the flesh also include everything that defiles our mind, body, or spirit, such as sexually explicit magazines, television programs, immoral jokes, and lustful thoughts. Idolatry includes greed and anything or anyone other than God Himself that takes place above Him. The object of idolatry could include money, an occupation, a person, a personal pleasure, or a habit. Though some of these may not be evil in themselves, if they occupy the time and are given the loyalty which God deserves, they actually become an idol to us. Often overlooked is witchcraft, which includes horoscopes, palm reading, hypnotism, seances, and other acts that try to control a person. Also on the list are hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, and heresies. These include rivalries, dissagreements beyond the majority, jealousy and the obsession to excel above others at any cost. All these emotions spring from selfish attitudes of the heart. "And he (Jesus) said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man." (Mark 7:20-23). We can give thanks to God that we who follow Jesus have been crucified from our own flesh. We are no longer enslaved by these works of the flesh but are endowed with the Holy Spirit and can bear His fruit, which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." (Galati ans 5:22-24). You can rest assure that even if you have fallen into sinful habits Jesus will forgive you of them. All who truly repent and do what they can to overcome those sinful habits are forgiven by God. He will not condemn those who seek to improve themselves, however if you continue to live in sin thinking that God will forgive you every time you do it than you are deceiving yourself. Anyone who truly accepts God will eventually ween themselves from those things because the Holy Spirit dwells in them. "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. " (6:1-8) Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with another day here on earth and thank you for the many blessings that you give me each day.
Lord, I ask you today to be with those who suffer from sinful habits that keep them captive. Forgive them, Lord for they do not know what they are doing and give them peace knowing that You will help them overcome any temptation. Lord, I know at times I have not lived my life for You and have fallen into the temptations of my own flesh. Forgive me, Lord, walk with me, guide me, and be with me in all I do for this is the only way I can stay faithful to You and not fall into temptations that cause You to turn your back on me. In Jesus name, I pray......Amen. Have a gloryous and peaceful day/night and week. Hello My Friend/Guest, "In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me. Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue."- Psalm 120:1-2
It is Sunday December 2, 2007 and today we begin our studies on the book of Galatians. Please read, Galatians 1 -- 3 In Today's Reading we will learn about the y one true Gospel; justification by faith, not the Law; and the Law guides us to Christ. The book of Galatians was written by the apostle Paul to the people of Galatia to correct the false teaching that they were receiving of Jewish legalism in the Church."I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:6-8) This letter for the Galatians forever settles the fact that there is only one way to avoid the eternal lake of fire and to be assured of eternal life in heaven. We can only be justified by the faith of Christ, not by anything that we do in the flesh. "But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." (Galatians 2:14-16). We are reminded that no one deserves or earns the right to heaven by keeping the Law, but are given the grace of God that all who believe in the Son of God shall receive eternal life and the Kingdom of God. "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." (2:20-21). The full meaning of God's grace was revealed when Jesus died on the cross. Jesus took our place on the cross that we might be delivered from the penalty of sin. Without His sacrifice, no one could be declared righteous in God's eyes. Because of His undeserved loving kindness and grace toward us, we can one day enter heaven to be with Him forever. Before Christ the Law of God was a guide to bring us to Him, but after they found Him they got too comfortable and quickly fell back under their curse. However, God saw the need for someone to take on the curses of all the world and to save us.Therefore, He sent Jesus for that purpose, "For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." (Galatians 3:10-14). These facts make us realize a great need of our Savior. Because of our sinful nature no one has the ability to keep all of the Law of God for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. However, Jesus rescued us from the death of the law by taking on the cross that we bear. "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (sacrifice) through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus." (Romans 3:22-25). God wants all nations to come together as one and accept Jesus into their lives, but He knows that not all people will. Many people do not realize that we are actually led and empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit to be the children of God. It has to make one feel good to know that God had that much faith in you that He made a place for you in heaven long before you were even born. "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." (Galatians 3:26-29). Today's Prayer; Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day here on earth and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day.
Lord, thank you for having so much faith in me that You empowered me with Your Holy Spirit and allowed me to know Jesus and become Your child. Jesus, thank You for taking on my curse and redeeming me from living eternally in a lake of fire. It is because of You that I am free and can enjoy eternal life up in heaven. Nothing I ever do can repay You for such a gift so all I can do is live my life for Your glory. Lord, walk with me, guide me and be with me in all that I do for without You I am lost and quick to fall back under my curse.
In Jesus name, I pray.....Amen
Have a wonderful day/night. God Bless, Christina Visit A Spiritual Guide http://www.aspiritualguide.net" title="http://www.aspiritualguide.net" target="_blank"http://www.aspiritualguide.ne...

Hello My Friend/Guest,
"Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake."- Psalm 79:9 It is Saturday December 1, 2007 and today we are completing our studies on teh book of II Corinthians. Please read, II Corinthians 9 -- 13 In Today's Scripture Reading we will learn about Paul's spiritual authority; a warning against false teachers; Paul's suffering; his thorn in the flesh; and his plans to visit Corinth. Paul often faced rejection and judegment from hostile enemies of Christ and occasionally from believers as well. He recalled times where he had been striped (whipped), beaten, stoned among ot her dangers along the way, howeverr no matter what opposition he faced, Paul lived with only one purpose, to preach the Gospel in the regions beyond" I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also. Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I. Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches." II Corinthians 11:21-28). We too have the high calling to reach out in love to all people with the Good News of eternal life. Surely everyone should have the opportunity of hearing, at least once, that at death they are destined to either eternal death in the lake of fire or eternal life in heaven. Even though our lives and good works may be very commendable, our Creator Jesus Christ said: "I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me "(John 14:6). Have you ever seriously thought what it means for your friends or loved ones to die without being saved? The dividing line between the sheep and the goats, the weeds and the wheat, the saved and the lost rests upon one fact; Jesus assured us that, if anyone believed my saying he will never see eternal death. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death." (John 8:51). It is of utmost importance that we consider our priorities. Do they bring us closer to the Lord and His purpose for our lives or take us further away from Him? Now, God knows that not all people are going to listen or believe so He does not expect you to change everyone's mind. What His purpose is for us telling others is to reach as many as we can. More people than you can ever imagine are lost, confused, and searching for answers, they are just waiting for someone to show them how to break free from the captivity they are in. "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me." (Matthew 25:31-36).
Paul reminds us that by doing the things that Jesus commanded our lives will be perfect in the eyes of God. "Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Greet one another with an holy kiss. All the saints salute you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen." (II Corinthians 13:11-14) We will be at peace no matter what kind of opposition we face because God never turns His back on those who live for His Son. Jesus is right there with you enduring the same judgements and oppositions, He will carry you through and make you stronger than ever.
Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing me with a new day here on earth and thank you for the many blessings you give me each day. Father, You know those to whom you are leading us to share the Gospel message. Sometimes these people are on our hearts for years and we've prayed for them time and again. Other times we are prompted by the Holy Spirit to speak to an individual we've never met. We know that you have given us all authority in heaven and on earth to go and make disciples of all nations. It is not in our own strength, wisdom, personality or talents that we share the message of salvation to those who are lost. It is in the power of Your Holy Spirit that we go forth bringing the message of hope and forgiveness to those who seek it. Help us not to be discouraged when we don't see an immediate response for we know that we are all involved in the planting of spiritual seeds. Help us to remain faithful to you no matter what peopel say or do to us to try and stop us from telling others about You. Forgive us for being aggravated and upset by those who judge us and or cause opposition. Please forgive them, Lord for they do not see beyond what is not seen and do not know the truth themselves. Work in their hearts and show them how to love one another without judgement. In Jesus name, I pray......Amen. Have a wonderful day/night and weekend. God Bless, Christina
